I require this book as part of the curriculum for my 85 hour prenatal yoga teacher training. I chose this book because of it's ability to educate students in the basics of Ayurveda during pregnancy. I think that the author did a great job synthesizing some very complex material into layman's terms. My trainees always really enjoy this book. I think the postpartum section could be a bit more comprehensive.

There were many tips from this book that I used in my pregnancy. The parts on antithesis diet for specific dosha were very interesting. Some advices were bit unrealistic to follow especially the extensive journaling. Overall I would recommend this book for those future mommies that have interest in yoga,ayurveda and more holistic approach to pregnancy

Has a lot of interesting information that I haven't read yet in alternative pregnancy approaches.

This book was a reading assignment for my Ayurveda training. It is just full of great information for the expectant woman. It was a great read even though I had my children long ago!

pretty good reference for an Ayurvedic pregnancy. not necessarily strictly Ayurvedic in recommendations, but definitely a good reference to have along with the more general books such as Svoboda Ayurveda for Women.

This book is so cool. I bought it for my 3 year old grandaughter. The letters from god would be super for anyone to receive. They just show how much god loves us. They all make you cry. The pictures and easter story are excellenty done. Great book in every way

It also gave me a chance to explain happy tears to my babies when they asked why I was crying as I read it 😭 The way this book explains Jesus's love, humility and sacrifice and what heaven is, is astounding and touching. The Easter week story is presented in a way that reaches hearts of all ages. Throughout the book are "Letters From God" that will just ring all the way down in your heart. This is a must have for parents❤

Beautiful book!! Our family’s new easter favorite. It goes through various aspects of the Easter story with a letter for each, which could easily be used as a devotional with small children leading up to Easter. We used the feet washing story/Passover section to teach the kids about serving others at for our Seder/Passover meal—a wonderfully written and illustrated book!

As usual Glennys did a beautiful job on this book. Have mine ready for my grand children’s visit Great gift but grandma keeps a copy at her home too

It was a good book. I bought it for a class at my college. Good book though. Recommend to anyone taking literature courses.

One evening in Nairobi in the mid 80's I spent an uncomfortable dinner party defending this book to a bunch of outraged white folks. Well, Ngugi had it a bit worse. For the crime of producing a play in Kikuyu and for having ordinary folk be in it, and, of course, for the play expressing some irritation at the idea that a few should have all the money, he was jailed and his play confiscated.As a result of his imprisonment, perhaps, this is not a happy book. Using allegory and parable he constructs a fabulous tale critiquing the existing order. He lays into the wealthy, the white colonialists and anyone else getting well off or acquiescing in the current regime of theft and greed.Some of the outrage people have at this book came from Nugui's imaginative retelling of Jesus' parables. "For the Kingdom of Earthly Wiles can be likened unto a ruler who foresaw that the day would come when we would be thrown out of a certain country by the masses and their guerrilla freedom fighters" begins a parable loosely based on The Parable of the Talents.It looks like he's attacking Jesus -- if you think Jesus was just telling pious little "be good" stories. On the other hand, if you really listen to Jesus, you'll think Ngugi is right on target.This is an African version of Liberation Theology.

Wow, what a great book! I am a technical professional enrolled in a graduate business degree program, and until now the plethora of financial and accounting terminology and rules has been bewildering for me. That is no longer true after buying this book. I have primarily used it as a reference book, and without fail any explanation I have needed has been easy to find, clear and concise.I am no longer in the financially confused majority, largely thanks to this book. The author's education is in biochemistry (as is my undergraduate education), and because he originally came from the hard sciences where clarity and accuracy are valued above all else he was better able to be clear and easy to understand in comparison to many business school authors who seem to thrive on jargon and platitudes.This is a great book to have on the reference shelf. If you are involved with business finance or investment analysis it is simply the best book available on the subject and should be considered indispensable!

I enjoyed reading this book (as much as one could enjoy a book on numbers that is!). I wanted to brush up on my accounting so I could better read financial statements for public companies I invest in. I took accounting a long time ago in college so knew the basics but even that was a little rough around the edges for me.This book lays out clearly the 3 main financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and provides a sample company so you can follow along how each works and is related to the others. It is well written and the examples nicely formatted so you can follow along.I would recommend this book to anyone that knows nothing about financial statements or somebody like me who just needs to brush up again on the basics and a bit beyond them too.

This is a really good book for review. I am going back into a business degree and Its been several years since I have had accounting. This book acted as a great refresher and it is laid out in a very logical manner. I would say that you might wanted to consider the printed version vs the kindle version. Because of the layout of the book and the type of subject matter, it does not lend itself to be easy to read on the kindle.

This is the first time I have ever commented on a product sold on Amazon. First, the book arrived ahead of time. Secondly, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who does not know anything about accounting. I am considering starting a business and have been educating myself on various topics. Although, I have a science/math background, I have never taken an accounting course. This book is very easy to read and understand. It breaks down common accounting terminology for you. After reading this book, I feel confident in knowing how business transactions affect financial statements. It is an interesting read as you learn about the develop of an applesauce company. If you want to develop a general knowledge base of accounting, then this is the book for you. If you are looking for a technical book that will expand your current accounting knowledge, then it might be a waste of money.

This book is seriously so good. I've been in the accounting world for 10 years, I have my Accounting degree, and I am a Controller for a small regional company. I'm 13 pages into this book and I've thought several times already that this should be required reading in any entry-level accounting class in college. I bought this book because while I understand this stuff, I often feel like I missed some important, basic things during school and that missing those things has made the quite simple accounting world seem more difficult than it actually is. The basic instruction book for Scientology Volunteer Ministers. It seems like I have written a review of this book before. I mentioned it comes also as 19-20 individual booklets at $5 each. It is easier to handle as booklets, as the hardback is quite large and heavy. Scientology Ministers use them as handouts when dealing with particular issues. Most Scientology materials seem to be written on an eight grade reading level. Those written by Hubbard are extremely wordy. It is an interesting book explaining many Scientology processes and assists.

Such a great introductory book for anyone interested in Scientology!I received this book in like new condition and was very pleased!

Lots to learn and some great information. Book is very big and heavy and not easy to read unless sitting at a desk.
