I really enjoy Jeff’s writing, his first person POV is tops, bar none. The reading is so smooth, you are transported to the time and place in the book without any effort on your part.Lovely scene-setting, accompanied by lively action and dynamic dialogue, will leave you wanting more at the end of the book and series.The finale of “Medicine for the Blues” series, “Dangerous Medicine” gets the top score of 5 stars!

What a huge accomplishment this is. Finished the trilogy this morning. Enjoyed the characters and the meticulously researched evocation of those times. Wish they were really in the past. The epilogue was very welcome and the author's notes showed the historian and journalist in the author. Excellent work. Thank you.

Robert Block's books are among the best references for marble collectors. The illustrations are profuse, and the color reproduction is excellent quality.

What I liked about this book was the many photos of the different marbles through the years, the main dislikes were some of the photos were faded and the pricing was not up to date with the times. Overall, I enjoyed matching several of the marbles from my collection to those found in the book.

The Block family are true marble gurus. They make learning all about the addicting glass balls easy.

This book is a great read for anyone looking to expand their understanding of women's roles in Ancient Israel. While Rev. Gafney is Christian, I found her to be completely non-dogmatic. I was actually very surprised to learn she is Christian and not Jewish, based on her writing in this book.As a Kohenet ([...]), this book fit beautifully into the teachings of my religious order and expanded my understanding of certain areas of the text we had studied.I recommend this book to anyone Jewish or Christian looking to explore women's roles and traditions in the Torah.

I am a fan of Gafney's work, but was worried that this piece might not be accessible for "the average consumer." Not the case at all! I use one of her chapters with participants in a church Bible study and, with a little help, the people fully engaged around the material.

This is for certain people and I chose this for my Christian studies. I enjoyed it very much.

This book is unique in its genre. It not only gives a great overview of scholarship about women prophets in the Hebrew Bible, but it offers its own theses including the idea that there are many more female voices than the modern reader recognizes in the Hebrew Bible. Gafney is thoughtful and convincing.

This is an excellent book. It gives a good overview of women prophets in Hebrew scriptures and also in the wider Ancient Near Eastern Environment. The book is well documented and provides great bibliographical resources for those wanting to pursue further research.

The author is certainly readable and follows accepted academic standards for citations, etc. Her thesis is that certain Hebrew plural pronouns and verbs POSSIBLY indicate both females and males in translation. She cites the accepted knowledge about prophetic ministries of both sexes in non-Hebraic cultures of the pre-Israelite ANE. Her introductory commentary on feminist interpetations is quite current and most clear. She promotes a "flexible interpretation" (p.18) of scripture, as well as interpretations about the practicioners of "non-sanctioned inquiry techniques" (p. 24). Much of her thesis rests upon her particular translation abilities and interpetations, and her identification of nuances not evident to Hebraists in the last several centuries. In NIV Ex 38:8 we read "8 They made the bronze basin and its bronze stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting." The author translates "women" as "warriors" and is certainly not ambiguous in asserting: "In keeping with the martial range of tz-b-' and the desert-sanctuary context, I translate hatzov'ot asher tzaue'v as 'the women-warriors stationed'" (p.154). On the same page, the author claims: "I found it highly likely that their mirrors, mar'ot, were used a signaling devices in combat, making the women a Bronze Age Signal Corps.." If the author's conclusions from the tenuous premises arouse you, then you will undoubtedly like this book. If they don't, then....

I love His Favorite vol. 6! It's so cute and funny, and there are a few make-out scenes with Sato and Yoshida.This volume starts off with Sato wanting a valentine's day chocolate from Yoshida. Of course, Yoshida was reluctant to the idea of giving Sato one because he hasn't ever gotten a valentine's day chocolate. There is some drama when Sato's "girlfriend" shows up and demanded that he only excepts chocolates from "her". It turned out it be Murakami that dressed as girl. I think Sato asked him to do that so he Yoshida's the only one that gives him chocolate. On Valentine's day, Sato gives Yoshida a valentine's day chocolate to Yoshida, and Yoshida finally decides to give Sato a chocolate. Sato was really happy. In the second chapter, there were rumors that there is a ghost at the school. So, Sato, Akimoto, Makimura, and Yoshida go to the school- at night- and check it out. However, Yoshida is dragged to go alone with them. The whole time, Yoshida hides behind Sato, and in the end, Yoshida faints. Yoshida wakes up and notices that Sato is giving him a piggy-back ride. In the next chapter, the girls trap Yoshida in telling them why Sato was giving him a piggy-back ride, but Yoshida is too embarrassed to tell them. So, the girls go after his two friends in order to find out, and they're forced to tell the girls. Then, the girls decided to make a plan in order to scare Yoshida. They succeeded, and Yoshida faints from being frightened. But then Sato appears and came to pick up Yoshida because he heard him scream, but instead of a piggy-back ride, Sato carries Yoshida in his arms (princess style). In the next chapter, everyone showed up to school during their summer vacation. Sato seems to be really excited, and the reason is because he gets to see Yoshida- apparently they only talked and texted. Makimura decides they should to go to the beach, everyone agrees, and Sato remembered that Tsuyako asked them to go to a tropical island. They all agreed, but she asked them to meet them at a canyon. Sato and Yoshida were very suspicious of Tsuyako and the meeting place. It turned out to be a trap to send them to a deserted island. While trapped on the island, Yoshida and Sato sneak out at night- very suspicious. They didn't show what they were doing at night, but you can guess what they did. They must've been saved because in the last chapter they're at the school. The girls at the school surround Sato, and Yoshida can't get through the crowd. He gives up trying to get to Sato, but then the brother Nozawa and the sister Nozawa show up and tell Yoshida that they see arousal and jealousy in his eyes. It's so funny from the look of Yoshida's face and how the brother and sister fight over who's going to paint him. In the end, they explained and showed what Yoshida and Sato did the nights they sneaked off at the deserted island. They made-out! but apparently they didn't go all the way.I can't wait to read volume 7!

I can never get into yaoi because there is no real story,It's always about the boys getting together as quickly as possible.Not this yaoi.This yaoi has all the story I want,While still keeping the yaoi spirit.It's cute, funny, and each character is interesting.I can't get enough of this manga,And I can't help but read it again and again.It's definitely one if my favorite yaoi and mangas.

I love this manga it is one of the most entertaining manga that I have read. It is not a serial story it is more like a collection of stories with the two main characters on the lead. I really like that there are no other stories about different characters and it focuses on the two main characters. It's definitely a must read and I am looking forward to the next volume.

I like how the story is pergresing and keeps getting cuter

This volume consists of cute short stories, and Sato seems more lovey dovey in this volume, much to Yoshida's chagrin. Sato and Yoshida have a honeymoon of sorts during their summer vacation and take their relationship a little further. The supporting characters are hilarious, though the scene with the Nozawa twins may not be as funny to those who haven't read the previous volumes. Another enjoyable volume.
